We have been looking at what we have been up to over the last couple of years and we have suprised ourselves with the fact that we have now completed 11 different sports facility designs and work on 5 different MUGA / Play Area sites.

This is one of those disciplines where you go down a route different to how the business originally started but end up with a great portfolio of work and clients along with interesting schemes that involve multi-disciplined teams. Indeed on most of the above we have acted as lead consultants too!

From small acorns…..etc etc……our first involvement was with a small drainage design for a pitch and to specify a groundwater borehole to provide irrigation of the pitches. Since then we have submitted planning applications, carried out flood risk assessments, surface water attenuation ponds, dealt with difficult access problems and carried out detailed pitch designs, both natural and artificial. Going further we have provided play equipment, designed pitch markings, flood lighting, designed swing rope bridges, installed an outdoor stage (wrapped round a very big tree), relocated great crested newts, bats and owls, designed skate parks and bmx parks, put an artificial pitch into a prison and designed every aspect of several full sports facilities……….and remembered to pat ourselves on the back once every now and again along the route (with the occasional one from a client too!)!!

We have even found time to help with funding applications too with the Football Foundation and Sport England!
